On August 31, in collaboration with the Astute Debaters Club of the Obafemi Awolowo Universtity (OAU), WeVote registered many first-time voters at the prestigious OAU, Ile Ife.
We set up registration desks at the school auditorium to spread voter awareness and register hundreds of young people and first time voters. We also addressed the young students on civic responsibility and the need for increased participation in decision making.
The project was a success, thanks to volunteers from Osun State who showed up to support.
