WeVote has collaborated with When Friends Pray (WFD), a youth-led faith-based organization to promote voter awareness and participation among Nigerian youths.
As a first leg of this collaboration, we were present at WFD’s Agendas & Activation event on August 22, 2021, to help attendees register to vote. The response was positive. Participants at the event demonstrated keen interest to get registered. Several of them had questions and concerns about voter transfer. Some others needed help with lost or damaged PVCs. We were able to assist these youths satisfactorily.
We get excited at these collaborations because they validate our message that private, public, non-profit and faith-based sectors should exhibit and encourage civic responsibility in their host communities.
WeVote will continue exploring and leveraging multi sectoral collaborations for meaningful voter participation.
